BEERMISCUOUS SHIFTS OWNERSHIP TO EMPLOYEES
Both the Chicago-Lakeview & Highwood locations will now be owned and operated by a coalition of employees.
CHICAGO – LAKEVIEW: Today Beermiscuous is thrilled to announce that a coalition of employees have purchased both locations of the ‘craft beer café’ from founder Paul Leamon in a deal closing on March 5th, 2020. The Chicago-Lakeview & Highwood locations will now be owned and operated by a group of employees consisting of Austin Harvey, Zigmas Maloni, and Virginia Thomas. The new ownership group has a combined 34 years experience in beer sales, service, brewing, and education – and nine years with Beermiscuous.
Co-owner, and Beerista/Curator since 2014, Austin Harvey says of the sale, “[it is] a logical extension of the employees’ existing values.”
The new ownership is excited to continue the excellent selection, service, and experience that we have provided over the last six years, as well as pursue more releases, events, and collabs for our loyal customers. We are exceedingly proud to be an employee-owned and operated business. With this announcement, Beermiscuous will become the first 100% employee owned craft-beer destination in Chicago.
